A little help with a/c troulbe shooting

I need a little help. I am working on a 1995 Corsica. The car is a V6 and runs good, small oil leak, but what old car does not have a couple problems.
I am having trouble, trouble shooting the a/c.
I started out by replacing the valve core on the low-pressure line, after I tried to charge the system.
Turned on the car set ac to max, hooked up the can on the low-pressure line. The car took ¾ of the can of R134a.
The compressor kicks in and coolant fan also comes on, but the air never gets cold.
I took the glove box out to make sure the knobs in the car were engaging the air and heat setting and they are.
With the compressor kicking in and staying on, not seeing any links or oil around connection, not sure, why the air is not getting cold, even with a leak the air should get cold.
Now the air for the ac is not as hot as the heat, but still very warm.

I'd check the orifice tube and strainer to make sure they are not plugged. You really need to use a full manifold to monitor both low side and high side pressures during diagnosis and recharging.
