airbox question

the 2001 civic stock airbox has an airbox that goes into another airbox of somesort..what is the other box for? i installed a short intake and i think it slowed me down..is it posibble that the 2001 civic needed that 2 airbox?

umm i think you talking about the resonator (?) but i cant see how that would slow you down... maby if its reallllly poorly made. you didnt unplug/break any sensors in the process did you?

yes i think most cars have them but some are boxes and other are funny shaped tubes, thats one reason why when you put an intake on you can really hear when it hits the vtec lobes.

the resonator is basically a silencer for your intake.

and after you remove it or put a intake on it will sound better then an exhaust IMO
