91.5 TC's upgraded AC stopped blowing

Hi. My 91.5 Congressional TC's ac just stopped blowing. The gears in the windows are all long gone too, so ac is crucial in S Tx.
I had the ac upgraded about 3 years ago.
FYI about 5 years ago it stopped blowing and it was the fan switch on the dash. I didn't replace it however because the switch has worked on high ever since, but not in the lower/middle positions.
Now, when I switch the system on it sounds like the compressor is kicking on, but it's not blowing. The blower motor didn't make any nasty noises before the system stopped blowing.
Does this sound like the dash switch or some type of relay in the dash or under the hood?
Thank you in advance for your help.

It's really easy to fix those window motors, by replacing the three drive bushings inside. See the link below for a picture. Your ac problem sounds like the blend door motor. Those are a real bear to get to, you have to take the dash loose to get to it. If you search blend door motor in the forum you should be able to find a picture I posted of one. The blend door motor is on the passenger side up by the heater core.

After reading about this common problem it appears the likely culprit is the blower motor resistor. The car has the auto option on the blower motor switch so it looks like the $25-$50 manual resistor won't work.
Can't seem to find an aftermarket for the auto version and a dealer wants $342 part# FOVY19986B.

Ok I think I mis understood. Is it the fan that stopped coming on? I think I still have one of those heater control units for the 91. That's the one with the sliding levers. let me know if you want one.

... blower motor resistor ...

AKA Blower Speed Control. I'm assuming from your reply that you have this little gem in your hand.. take a good look at the big resistor where it's posts are soldered to the control board (circuit board)..
Common problem, the OEM solder was shit. Clean and re-solder and it will work again.
