My son has had his 2010 TC 5 months and already broken BOTH side view mirrors. Has anyone changed one of these and if so what is the procedure? It looks like I might have to remove the inside panels to get them off? Thanks if you can help with this project (father son project). Thanks again

Hey! I had this same issue! The previous owner left me with two bad mirrors that were unable to be controlled by the OEM mirror adjuster switch.
The way that I fixed it was to take the wiring plug that fed into the mirror switch and unplug it and replace it with a new switch. The entire dash is literally like legos, so you should be able to get the entire left side of the dash out pretty easily and it all will reattach the same way and just as easily. A new switch will run you about 15 bucks on toyota tc part stores. same one that comes in the similar year toyota camry corolla and rav4. Plug goes into the back of the new switch very easily.
If a new switch isn't the issue then manually adjusting the mirrors by hand shouldn't be an issue. If your son will be the only one driving the car then he shouldn't need to manually adjust the mirror much (or at all)
If you're serious about getting the mirrors fixed, then taking it to a Toyota dealer and getting both fixed for like 150-200 bucks could be an option.
Happy Driving!
