Rear wiper blade - 2002 Venturebaby141 04-09-2010, 12:23 PM The rear wiper blade is not working. It goes to the half way mark and gets stuck. I hear the motor trying but it will work only if I assist it. Does this sound like a motor problem or is it just the part that is not working. roadrunner2 04-09-2010, 08:14 PM The rear wiper blade is not working. It goes to the half way mark and gets stuck. When the wiper motor reverses and rotates the spindle to the 'park' position, will the wiper move back with it? When it goes to center and you help it, will the motor reverse and return the wiper back without your help? It's one of two things, either the wiper motor spindle is partially stripped or the motor is faulty. markqc 04-11-2010, 02:53 PM I had a similar problem. There was a stripped tooth on the plastice gear which moves the wiper. Unfortuneately, you can't buy the gear only. You can buy a "wiper module" either remanufactured or new, or check a junk yard for a used one. Yes for the two, you should replace the wiper motor. dkr8611 04-14-2010, 09:26 AM I had a similar problem with mine. It would only go one direction and then sort of stop. All I had to do was open the cover at the base of the wiper arm and tighten the nut. I had purchased a new motor and everything, but that was all I needed and I took the part back unused.
