1998 venture sensors?jeremy06 04-09-2010, 12:17 AM where are the camshaft position sensor and crankshaft position sensor located? try to be describive. Thank you Airjer_ 04-09-2010, 09:36 AM The cam sensor is right under the P/S pump. The connector is to the right of the oil fill clipped to the bracket that mounts on the intake plenum bolt. lesterl 04-09-2010, 09:55 AM IIRC the Crank sensor is behind the Harmonic Balancer. Connector comes out below the water pump/ above compressor. Airjer_ 04-09-2010, 01:34 PM I couldn't remember if there where two crank sensors or not. Isn't there a low res one in the block on the firewall side as well? I think that's the one the the connector at the ignition module with the purple yellow wires go to. The [one behind the pulley is the high res and goes to the PCM. Again I'm going on foggy memory today. I should now that but it just isn't clicking! :) lesterl 04-09-2010, 01:46 PM The Crank sensor is a 7X, the Cam is a 24X or sumtin like that IIRC. I know there is a sensor between the narrow part of the transaxle and the side of the block, IDK what it is IIRC it is 2 wire and doubt it would be a position sensor as they are usually 3 wire. Airjer_ 04-09-2010, 01:55 PM I thought the one behind the crank pulley was the 24x crank sensor. The 2 wire in the block that goes to the ignition module is the 7x crank sensor. lesterl 04-09-2010, 02:13 PM Crank sensor is the 2 wire unit, the other 2 according to the wiring diagram are the cam sensors, IDK which is the 24x, I would suspect the one under the PS pump. - All info from www.autozone.com (http://www.autozone.com)....... :-) Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
