I have Two blue neon lights that i am putting under my car seats. For wiring, I wired them to the light in the ash tray. First I cut off the already present light, then wired on the two neons. I now have a problem. My dash lights do not work. Should I get a capapitor? Is this a power issue? Is their a better way to wire the neons?

Thanks for any help!

I would wire them directly to the battery, just so that you know it's hooked up to a good 12v line and a good ground. It's also easy to throw a toggle switch in that way too.

the reason your lights don't work is probably because you blew a fuse. caps are only used for car audio system and would never be needed for this type of application...
