OK, I GOT AN IN DASH MONITOR THAT CAME WITH A TUNER AND EVERYTHING WORKED OUT FINE. I'M ABLE TO KEEP MY ORIGINAL HEAD UNIT ALONG WITH THIS MONITOR. ANYWAYS, THE TUNER IT CAME WITH SAYS IT CAN ACCOMMODATE UP TO 3 VIDEO DISPLAYS. I'M ASSUMING THAT MY MONITOR ALREADY TAKES UP ONE DISPLAY RIGHT? I HAVE TWO OTHER MONITORS FOR THE HEADRESTS BUT I'M NOT SURE WHERE TO PLUG THEM IN AT. I DREW A PIC IF ANYONE CAN HELP. CURRENTLY, MY PS2 IS TAKING UP THE TOP ROW OF THE INPUT YELLOW, RED, AND WHITE SLOTS. THE TV ANTENNA I GOT IS TAKING UP THE FOUR SMALL BLACK ANTENNA HOLES. AND OF COURSE THE RF UNIT IS TAKING UP THE DESIGNATED HOLE. THE MONITOR IS PLUGGED INTO A HOLE IN THE BACK OF THE TUNER. CAN ANYONE HELP?

the .txt file is blank when I tried to open it. There should be several video out jacks on the back somewhere.

normally
red = right audio
white = left audio
yellow = video

white = left audio
yellow = video

ok, the two rows of yellow, red, and white are for the input. And the four other ones on the right side that are a variety of colors are for the output. I have two monitors that have a red and white male plug and the yellow plug is a female plug. It also has a black plug that is just a hole with a plug inside of it. Where would i have to plug these into to get them to show something. I'm assuming i don't have to plug in the red and white ones cause i already get the sound from the monitor up front. And how do these monitors get power? through the black plug? if so i can't find anywhere to put it. Same with the yellow plug. Should i pull the monitor out and check there?

ok here's a little update. I found how to power it. There was a small two inch wire that plugged into the black plug. This small wire has a red and black wire coming out of it to which i assume gets wired into the car's battery. I found the box the tuner came in and this is what it says:
Video Source Output (RCA type) for Additional Monitors (Up to 3)
Two sets of Audio/Video Inputs (RCA type) for DVD's, VCR's, game consoles etc....(I ASSUME BECAUSE MY PS2 IS PLUGGED INTO ONE OF THE SETS THAT THIS IS NOT WHERE MY MONITORS WOULD GO)
And i can't pull my monitor out easily and i don't want to risk breaking anything so i can't look back there. Am i missing something about the "Up to 3" monitor option?

it may just mean that the sub box has the power to drive 3 monitors from the one output. it's really hard to tell without really looking at something.
Yes, if the PS2 is plugged into something - that is an INPUT

what's the make/model of this video spliter/control box? usually video signal does'nt need to be amplified, just switched or does this supply power to the actual video screens? if so that's kinda cheap, most things designed for cars are made to use 12v input from the cars battery. also you may want to check if one of the inputs is switchable. in some cheap stuff you find that an input can be switched to an output, mostly to save space, but you may also find that you can just split the lines coming off the output and performs just as well.. (spliting is very easy if you have a good pair of electrical pliers) best bet it to just split the lines for the two headrest vid units right by the back of the front seats.. the signal with degrade a little, but nothing noticeable to your eye... LCD's don't have the resolution to show that degredation...

in short, just split one of the outgoing signal lines for your 3rd monitor preferably the two that are in the headrests, as that line will be the easiest to split.

you could most likely get away with that ...... just run one of the video cables down the console and get a Y cable to split it off before running the video to each seat back. And remember to leave a little slack so the seats can move up and back.
