Hey all,

My friend and I decided to test our cars out last night on this long back road near my house. My car is completely stock and the 200sx has Toyo Proxies and an Intake (and one of our fat 200lb friends in the passenger seat to make the race a little more even :p)

First race: I say honk three times and we will go. Third honk I slip the clutch and launch at 2k rpms. My launch is pretty good, tires chirped a little and I pulled way ahead. He almost stalled his off the line. I knew it wasn't a legit win so I pulled over and asked if he wanted to run again.

Second Race: This time I honk three times. On the third honk, I wait till I hear him start to move and drop the clutch at around 2k rpms again. I pull half a car, maybe a full car length as he spins his tires for a second then bogs it. I try to remember not to redline it since my car has no power at those rpms anyways. Shift to second and stay ahead, but notice him pulling slightly. Shift to third and I'm still in the lead but he is pulling a little bit more. Once I shift to fourth, he pulls ahead of me and sits there about even with me. As we kept going, he kept pulling slightly so I let off and got behind him for the ride back to my house.

It was fun, even tho I lost... Had I been in my old Z, I would have torn him a new asshole, but oh well. I let him drive my car earlier in the day and he said he liked how it handled... he liked it a lot more than his 200sx :D

I think I need to get an exhaust and maybe an intake to be able to keep up, but I wont be able to afford those for a ways down the road :(

Took some pics today with a disposable camera, going to have the photo place put em on cd. They should be ready in 2 days or so.

hahahaha. good race. even though i expected you to lose fromt he start. if your friend was a good driver. he would've beaten you by atleast a car.

I knew I was going to lose before we even drove out there, I have ridden in his car and it has a lot more high end than mine, which is probably why he just kept pulling near the end.

Neither one of us are really into drag racing, it breaks too much stuff... I'm all about the twisties now :)

Yesterday I tried to race a Saleen Mustang LOL.
I thought he was gonna leave me in the dust right away but didn't:confused:

It was fun while it lasted cuz I fucked up and threw the car(my 240sx;) )
into second instead of fourth:mad:

I had fun though:D




I really need a short shifter:(

So you went from 3rd to 2nd instead of 4th and it didnt break anything... thats nuts :P Guess ya got lucky.

i did that once...luckily i acted really fast and got it to 4th the guy was way behind me anyway so that didnt matter........try turnin you hand upside down to shift into 4th in a race it would be VERY hard to go into 2nd if you shift like that into 4th *stick out right arm turn hand to palm is facing to the right of you and grip the knob* i know it sounds weird but it works

one time a brand new at the time 2000 corvette flew past me on the freeway and when it got about 1/8 mile ahead of me i guess he was in his highest gear and thought he had another gear and didn't or something but anyway he shifted into reverse at about 90 mph and his tires locked up and he spun out his transmission was fried and his engine was toast if it was any other car beside a corvette i would have laughed. what a moron he did that the day he bought it.

the 200sx is a SE-R and the SE-R is pretty quick. it can still do 0-60 in under 8 seconds and can do a 1/4 mile in mid 15's. thats almost as fast as the EK chassis civic si's

Mid 15s? Sounds more likely than the 16.2 I saw on car-stats.com

They say my car is good for a 16.8 *shrugs* I might be taking it to the track next sunday morning when I get off work to see how it does.
