This was a reissue of Tamiya's first motorcycle kit from back in 1983. New Taira racing decals were added to reflect Taira's success on the Japanese touring circuit on this bike.
I find these bikes to be easier builds than cars. Pieces are bigger, easier painted, and there's no more damn black window rubber to paint. The decals are a royal pain in the ass though. I had lots of trouble conforming them to the compound curves of the body, especially the piece where the exhaust pipes stick through. I used Microsol's Micro-Set and Micro-Sol to set and dissolve the decal onto the body for a painted on look.
